Plagiarism Policy

Aquacultura Indonesiana is committed to maintaining academic integrity and publication ethics. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. All submitted manuscripts must be original works of the authors and must appropriately acknowledge the ideas, data, findings, and words of other researchers through proper citation and referencing.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal may be screened for plagiarism and textual similarity using appropriate plagiarism detection software. The editorial team evaluates similarity reports carefully, taking into account the context of matching text, properly cited material, references, standard terminology, and commonly used scientific expressions. A similarity score alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred.

Manuscripts suspected of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of unethical reuse of published material will be subject to editorial investigation. Depending on the severity of the violation, the journal may reject the manuscript, request clarification or revision, or take other appropriate actions in accordance with its publication ethics policies.

If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal will investigate the case and take appropriate corrective action, which may include issuing a correction, an expression of concern, or retracting the published article when warranted.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, acknowledging all sources appropriately, obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material when necessary, and complying with recognized standards of research and publication ethics.

By submitting a manuscript to Aquacultura Indonesiana, authors confirm that their work complies with these principles of academic integrity and ethical scholarly publishing.
